    Only when both sides happen to agree.

    I don't believe in compromise on matters of principle. It is the duty of any conservative leader to dominate the left. They are an enemy of civilization and they should be treated like it.

    Talk of unity is lies. People that call for unity are just pretending to be harmless, while insidiously scheming to take advantage of their opponent's naivety. Honest people declare their political position openly and fight with honor. They don't smile sweetly with a dagger behind their back.

    Well, "con" is the operative word.  I trust no one.  Most all the decision-makers are Republican'ts, so there is no across the aisle compromises that matter much these days.

    Between all of those things, it hardly ever works out in the long run. I'm all for thinking about America before I think about myself. Apparently, our elected officials have no idea what those concepts are that you speak of.
