a free meal? I Didn't get an email or text or call or snail mail about a free meal...hahaha Wouldn't that be a hoot if the VA Database was altogether to send an automatic email to every Veteran for something like that? That would be really taking care of the veterans. A real reaching out... Or to be proactive with VA Health care in an inclusive way keeping awareness of all of it's Veterans in a total Healing way. hahahaha
The free meal has been going on for years. If you weren't a veteran, you would have no reason to know. The VA doesn't sponsor it, the restaurants do. I also get 10% discounts from numerous stores. And I have free supplemental insurance.
I am a Veteran. ...but Ok so the restaurants sponsor it...good move. just never heard of it. Never experienced veterans discounts either. Good for you.
My apologies; I didn't know you are a vet. Lowe's and Home Depot...10% all year. TGI Friday...15% all the time. Others too. You need but ask and show proof. DD-214 works. I use my retired ID. What branch were you in?
