  • Weak, incompetent and soft leadership used to be an impossibility in America. We got fooled on that one too. I don't pretend to speak for Trump, although God knows he needs a spokesman. I remember Joe McCarthy. He was a snake oil salesman that was backed  and supported by Joseph Kennedy. As I recall, RFK got his first employment with McCarthy. Just as American society gave us Trump and Obama, the Red Scare of the fifties created McCarthy. It was a time when Americans found reds under every rock.

Putin is not a Communist. Putin is an oligarch/dictator.

Trump is fond of acting like a dictator.

You are not a fan of Obama. You seem to prefer Trump.  Thank you for your reply PP and Happy Saturday to thee. Different strokes.

  • Putin isn't really a communist.

I admire Putin in some ways though I'm pretty far away from being a communist. I think we can agree that Trump isn't a communist either.

Putin strikes me as a gangster. He is a killer. Though the same is true of the western powers that be. The west is not truly a democracy. We are run by oligarchs too. The only difference is that ours are in the shadows controlling puppet politicians. Putin is out front in the open.

A lot of people on the anti establishment right admire Putin because he has the balls to resist the New World Order. The enemy of your enemy is your friend. Putin may be a despot but he's an angel compared to the forces he is fighting.

I don't approve of him morally though I do admire his ability to play "the game of thrones". If he weren't a bad ass, he would lose and the world would be much worse off.

Putin was the effective head of the Stasi in East Germany, and came to prefer that to Russian style communism. It was a richer country, and other political parties were tolerated, but suppressed. He has turned Russia into a communist state again, on the East German model.
Uh oh. Austrian used the term New World Order, I see.

((hugs)) Pardon the impertinence of the hug HarryD. I think you know I'm 78 and harmless. It is just that I very much appreciate your clear-eyed, no-nonsense responses to my questions. I do not have to pretzelize myself to get you to understand my point. It is a lot easier on me when YOU answer my questions than the usual suspects with whom you are now familiar. Thank you m'dear!   :)
