It hasn't been much of a problem there for many years. Medical was a joke and even if you got caught you just got a $50 ticket. Those convictions were not even asked about on a teacher's employment application. I couldn't believe it. They wanted to know of all misdemeanors other than for mj.
I find it sad that this plant has been abused by so many. Israel is doing research on the curative properties of the cannabis plant. It is believed to even cure serious diseases such as cancer, as an example.
