I'm not going to do anything. I don't live or vote in Alabama and I don't watch Hannity or Fox News. This post was edited by Stu Spelling Bee at November 16, 2017 1:20 PM MST

If you don't like the question, don't answer it, but please mind your manners when it comes to other members of this site.

I didn't read what  you are responding to Spunky. I just clicked on you and this is what I see. Thank you my friend and Happy Thursday to thee . T'is a puzzlement but I think these folks LOOK FORWARD to my questions so they can rant and rave and kvetch and complain and attack and vent. Normal people would simply ignore them. These people LOOK FOR THEM and then pounce! I never read what they write. I already know what it will be and it is of no use or interest to me.  Are you doing the cooking for Thanksgiving m'dear or will you be a guest somewhere? Happy Thursday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 16, 2017 1:30 PM MST

Believe me, Rosie, I don't look forward to your questions. Many of them duplicate each other and I mostly avoid them. Except, of course, when I feel the need to speak up with a response that (hopefully) provokes thought. That you don't respond indicates that you're not interested in thought or discussion, and that's your loss. If you don't read all the answers, why post the questions? He edited the question.  He asked why you asked it.  Now that he's edited his response, mine makes no sense.

Well sweetie I have no idea what was written or what replaced it. Ignorance is bliss and I stay as ignorant as I can about these "usual suspects". :)

I know what you mean.  No, I'm not cooking.  I'm going to my sister's house and will help her.   Happy Thursday. :)

Geez how lucky you are! My sister used to live in southern California about 45 miles from us and we got together for holidays and birthdays and anniversaries. But in October 2008 they moved to Carson City, Nevada which is about 500 miles away. So it's just Jim and me. Our boys are scattered. One in Honolulu., one in Fernley, Nevada and one in Buckeye, Arizona. I'm just gonna do simple for us. Maybe roast a boneless turkey breast and prepare a few "fixins".  Jim loves mashed potatoes and gravy so of course I'll do that for sure. It's our favorite holiday and we have so much for which to be thankful. Anyway I'm glad you'll be with family. Give your sis an extra hug from me. Okey dokey? Thank you for your reply Spunky! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 17, 2017 6:31 AM MST

Our family had dispersed some also and now that my nieces and nephews are married, they have to consider alternating holidays with the other side, so it is rare that we're all together at the same place at the same time.  I kind of miss those family get-togethers, but I'm guessing most families find themselves in the same situation.  I'm glad you and Jim have each other to still celebrate and my family, as yours, has much for which to be thankful.  Happy Friday. :)

When did I say I didn't like the question? And why did you single me out? Hezekiah posted essentially the same answer.

When I responded to you, he hadn't posted is response.  And, to play fair, you have to admit that you edited your question so my answer makes no sense.  Way to go.

Why would I wish to offend anyone? And I never said I didn't like the question - that was you putting words in my mouth.

You asked her why she posted the question.  She posted it because she felt like it.  As she posts all of her questions.  I didn't put any words in your mouthy, you deleted your own words.  But, if it makes you feel better to make people think I'm the bad guy here, have at it.

You said that if I didn't like the question, I shouldn't answer it. Those were YOUR words. I never said that I didn't like the question, before or after I edited anything. But if it makes you feel better to not believe you put words in my mouth, then have at it.

Have it your way.  You may have the last word because this conversation is not worth wasting any more of my time.

  • Yes they were quite a bit alike, and no, I didn't copy you. :) Thing is, I don't think Rosie even bothers to read my answers anymore. She just moves on to someone that agrees with or sympathizes with her.

Same here. And in one of her answers, she said that she thinks some of us look forward to her questions! She shouldn't flatter herself - I can't think of a thing I look forward to less, even going to the dentist.

  • I don't actually look forward to her questions either but she asks so many based on parroted falsehoods, misinformation, and baseless accusations, they sometimes need to be answered.

  • It looked like an answer to me. I too, do not live in and vote in Alabama and I don't watch that whining Hannity either. So, to get back to the question at hand, "whatcha gonna do"? The answer is nothing. When my car carries  an Alabama license plate, I'll be concerned.

His original response asked why she bothered to post the question which is why I said if he didn't like it, just don't answer.  Now he has removed that language, so my reply doesn't make sense.

My question asking Rosie that if she doesn't read all the answers (which she admitted to you), then why post the question, is still there.

But that's the only one where I asked her why post the question. Perhaps you were confused.

  •  I get a vast majority of my news and information from on line sources and from the unbiased local AM radio (I don't watch television) news reports and talk shows.
