Manson was insane sure, but he was no dummy and extremely smart.  It's a shame how he chose to channel himself.

He was not that smart.  I read his whole life over and over from every angle to see what made him tick.   He was a pathological liar.   He grew up in the prison system.  He was a snakey, shyster always trying to survive by hurting and manipulating everyone else.  It's not hard to sound like a genius cult leader when your band of gypsies is fried on LSD on a daily basis.

I have read a lot about him to and studied a lot about him.   He was quite intelligent IMHO and hit a lot of nails on the head in between his insane ramblings.

Being an expert manipulator actually takes a lot of intellect to pull off and being a pathological liar does not exclude one from being intelligent. Nor does being wicked, evil, and insane.

Rimfires can be recycled as scrap and reloading is recycling. My step father used to reload and taught me how, but I never owed a hand gun. Not quite true, I had one after we had a riot here, but I sold it to my sister who lives in a bad neighborhood.

I thought rim fire occurred from eating too many Ghost Chilies.

I know they can be but trying to find and pick up a hundred or more little itty bitty .22 and .17 rimfires is more trouble than it's worth to me.
Not to mention damn near impossible when hunting in the field. I do sweep them up and out them to the recycle bins at ranges though.  The last one I was a member at let the Boy and Girl Scouts take them to get the recycling cash.
