I overheard this, '. I can be a straight-A dyed in the wool bitch when the situation warrants' what does it mean'?

    First the adjectives:
    - "Straight A" = top of the class (the best students get A's in all classes)
    - "Dyed in the wool" = practiced / thorough
    then the noun:
    - Bitch - literally it mean female dog, when used about humans it means they are nasty or rude.

    So she was saying she will react strongly and destructively if provoked.
