At a ceremony honoring Native Americans..code talkers I believe...the Donald John used an insulting racist slur. Didja see it/hear it?

He brought up Senator Elizabeth Warren, referred to her as "Pocahontas" and told the men "I like you better". Apparently nothing is off limits. Racist slurs are fine when he brings them up because he is always right, never wrong. I wonder how those gentlemen felt when the Donald John showed his true colors? But then he does that every day doesn't he? If it's not one thing it's another. His adoration of himself is limitless. Just ask him. He'll tell you how great he is! :( Anyone else embarrassed/humiliated/disgusted? AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN?

  • It's not really racist.  Pretty sure it's more of a joke and slight about her claiming to have native bloodline even though there is no verifiable evidence of that and is denied by the Native tribe(s) she claims to be descended from.
Racially charged and/or insensitive possibly but that doesn't make it racist.

You just don't get it do you?

This is the President, this is not the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Jokes are not appropriate.  Not one's that serve to insult and belittle while you act as the leader of our NATION and sit high and mighty and untouchable on your throne of LIES.

  • I do get it Shar.   You don't get it that ALL politicians have to be held to a standard.  Nt just the one we hate the most .Even Obama made jokes.
Besdes she asked if it's racist.    The answer is no.  It's not.   She isn't a Native, she claimed to be,  it's a slight against her lie.  Shure it's by another liar but that doesn't change the fact it was a lie and isn't an attack on someones race or implying racial superiority which is what racism is.   Watering down definitions trivialises them.

Probably not appropriate.  Was pretty funny though.  I was just laughing at it in the car on the way home.

Unfortunately I live in the state that elected Sen. Warren and she campaigned claiming "native American" heritage though she could not offer any proof and no native American tribe claimed her.  When this was pointed out she just got on her high horse and acted offended "How dare you question my native American ethnicity".  Apparently if you claim to be enough of a "victim" it means you are above criticism.  Apparently being a woman was not enough for her but she had to claim native American heritage to achieve such blessed status.  Is nothing off limits for her?

Elizabeth Warren is one of the only capable humans near the White House.

Who cares what her genetics are?

Do you care what Trump's gentics are?  I don't. He is a piece of crap through and through, lady and if you got nothing else to bark about except what she said about Natives in America?  You need to get your head out of where it's parked and look at what your glorious president is doing to this great nation.

Warren took an active role in the 2016 presidential elections, pointing to Donald Trump, who was then the Republican presumptive nominee, as dishonest, uncaring of people and "a loser".

She also criticized Trump for his remarks about the judge in the Trump University case, calling him a "loud, nasty, thin-skinned fraud who has never risked anything for anyone and serves nobody but himself" after he repeatedly called the judge a "hater" and described him as "Spanish" or "Mexican".  For his part, Trump repeatedly referred to Warren as “Pocahontas”, considered by many as a racial slur, in reference to her contested claims of Native American ancestry

Would you prefer Trump's take on Indian Native American culture or Elizabeth's wanting to be part of it? This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at November 28, 2017 10:43 AM MST

  • Claiming a false  ancestry to Native Americans is pretty bad too Sharonna.   I get your "an enemy of my enemy is my friend" tactic and don't fault that really but it doesn't make the other thing insignificant or disingenuous.

Well I would not describe Trump as exactly  "glorious" as a pres but its a good feeling knowing there is someone in there who cares about us.  And is not just trying to "re-educate" us to let go our freedoms and all become slaves.  I have tried to find some good in Eliz Warren but unfortunately have been unable to find any.  She is an embarrassment.

Do you really think Trump cares about you?  He would throw you and me and anyone else off a cliff if it meant making more money or garnering more attention for himself.

Every site has at least one of office girl.

    LOL

At least one.  We have about 12.  Lucky us.  But I feel a little better because I ordered Keith Olberman's book Trump is a Fuc*ing Idiot about how his impeachment is inevitable among other things.

It almost (no not really) was worth having him elected if he gets impeached.  That would be so ....
but then we get Pence.    No one goes away happy.

Agree.  In fact there are a number of people who will agree with anything and everything Trump says and does.  I only hope Olberman is correct.  I'm not wild about Pence either, but at least we can hope he will be more diplomatic in his choice of words and uses them at appropriate times.  All I can say is that if I was one of Trump's offspring, I would change my name and disavow any connection to him.  Tiffany has no idea how fortunate she is that she isn't in the Inner Circle.

Why don't you answer that question officegirl? Only apply it to Trump. Is nothing off limits to him? During a ceremony honoring two Native American CODE TALKERS for their service in WW2 he poisoned it egregiously and embarrassed himself and America. I don't know what the two gentlemen standing there thought. You are not addressing the point. You are avoiding it by attacking Senator Warren. This is the normal typical ordinary average everyday way Republicans handle embarrassing questions. I expect more from you. Is that OK with you?

    NO SHE DIDN'T.

I didn't like the reply either.  Care to elaborate on why you need to stick up for this?

Trump is an idiot.  Let's stay on topic.

  • Yes she did.  She gave her take on the issue and y'all don't like it because it just wasn't a Trump hate jerk-off.
Trump is a liar yes.   So is Warren and that's what Office is saying.   She lied about Native blood to drum up support the same way Trump lies to drum up support.

It's called be fair and honest about the subject instead of emotional.

Glis it is so sad when you have to dig for dirt this deep and find none so you have to support some STORY about Elizabeth Warren drumming up (is that racist?) the fact that she might be part Cherokee.

That is what she SAID.  She said she might have some Cherokee blood in her background.  SO WHAT?   Did she use that to gain favor or steal money?  No. That is what Republicans are IMPLYING.

    So snakey.

I have FACTS and you want to just jump in here and start rioting because people hate TRUMPS guts.  Well, guess what?  He earned every drop of it.

And don't tell me about being emotional.  I am past emotional to pure Anger.     This is not a topic that is for the coffee table.  This is a topic that has to do with our very lives.

Who gives a crap what Elizabeth Warren said about maybe being part Cherokee?  WHO CARES?

Trump is the figure head of this nation.  He does not know how to address anyone.  He is a moron and a bore and it sickens me anytime I hear anyone say anything about this lying weasel that sticks up for him in any fashion.

He is a crook, a liar and a pimp.

But that is not as bad as Elizabeth Warren thinking she might have some Cherokee blood in her ancestry?  GET REAL This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at November 28, 2017 7:27 AM MST

  • No Sharrona.  That's a hypoerbolic logical fallacy towrds me on your part.  She used to gain sympathy card support and votes.   Has Trump done worse?   Sure...  That's not an excuse and justifies the name used against her.  She earned it just as Trump has earned all his flak.

You are the one putting the words.   You inserted yourself as Office Girl's defense attorney.  I am prosecuting.  You defended.  I attacked back.

    1.  Elizabeth Warren DID NOT officially announce that she was ever Native American.

    2.  That is a LIE.

    3.  You opened the DOOR.  I closed it for you.

Let me tell you this.  I don't care enough to win.  I think this is so petty I do not care what she did.  I don't.  I know that sounds like I am backing down. I don't want to look this boring trash up, I don't want to read about it.  There is just too much else and this is utterly boring.  IF she did, she made a mistake.  I don't think she did it intentionally.   I don't see that in her personna.  I don't care if she did.  If she bilked money?  I don't believe it.

Then I'll read about it.  But I don't want to take the time.  We are talking a good hour I won't get back.

Warren lied about Native American heritage to get Harvard job: Varney

By Stuart Varney Published November 28, 2017 Opinion FOXBusiness

That is what you will send me when I defend the fact that she didn't say this.  I know how FOX works.

Then I will send you proof that fox sucks and we go back and forth.

I know Elizabeth Warren. You do not.  Obviously.

I know Keith Olbverman.  You do not. Obviously.

I know Rachel Maddow.  You do not. Obviously.

Everything you think has that Fox lying slant to it.  Or so it seems to me so far.
