There are some inexplicable occurrences in life. There are opinings about them but no factual WHY to them. Which one(s) stand out most to you and why?

Crop circles - a friend did an intensive study of them and found that while many had been ingeniously created by people, there were some that showed inexplicable characteristics.

The same friend did a study of all the research on telepathic communication - and found that the USA and Russia found enough verifiable evidence that they founded departments to employ psychics and train them to improve their talents. The skills are much, much weaker than popular myth implies, and yet verifiable enough that I have been forced to reluctantly accept that such mind-to-mind messages can and do occur.

I read the studies and double checked the references - astonishing but real.

The subconscious can transcend space and time for some people; they are able to perceive a vision of a past or future event. Nothing supernatural involved.
I was casually involved with 'psychic stuff ' for abut three years some time ago. We identified about a dozen different types of psychic abilities people may experience.

I think it is more puzzling when it occurs among strangers.  When it occurs among friends/relatives it makes sense. You get to know how people think, react, feel about things and some of them you share precisely so when something occurs you blurt out what another person is already thinking.  I don't understand WHY people would create crop circles though. To trick/fool other people? Trying to set up mysteries? To what end? For what purpose? Thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply hartfire. Boy oh boy that would give me chills too! :)

Myself I am not good at doing that -I've never had any significant psych ic experience. Psychic experiences usually happen spontaneously for people. I've ad an an answer come to me 'out of the blue' if I ponder something long and hard enough. Then try to test wheather it it seems a correct answer.

Meditation works well for a lot of people as well as hypnosis and there may be other methods; certain kinds of drugs may work if properly administered.
