What's all this I keep hearing about pegging?

Am I missing something?  When someone says "I'm going to peg you"  are they asking me to play a game of Cribbage? 
This man I was passing in the street said it to me and I didn't know what to say.  I mean, I left my cribbage board at home.

  • She's obsessed with it lately.  I think she and her friend did something to that lady's  poor husband over the holiday.

    I have no idea what he meant but in some areas a husband might shoot him or turn his lights off for saying that to a woman or his wife.
