Per Martin Rudoy, Huffington Post, if Trump wins it will be the death of the Republican Party. Could he have a point?

Per Rudoy if Trump wins The  Republican Party will no longer be the party of

Limited Government

Low Taxes

Free Trade

 Pro Ukraine/Anti-Russia Foreign Policy

 Conservative social values

It will be the party of

Protectionism (anti-trade)

Nativism

Isolationism

Is that a good tradeoff? Is that an improvement? Does that appeal to you? Why?

Ah, yes, The Huffington Post. Great place to get entertainment. Like the Twilight Zone.

  • The GOP doesn't need Trump's help to disintegrate. Their problem has nothing to do with Trump. The established elected officials representing the party in various branches of government refused to do what they were sent to do. Trump is a symptom of a greater terminal illness.

The Republican Party as it was known, say, in Reagan's day died when Trump won the nomination.  What many here would doubtless call "old school conservatism" (neoconservatism in actuality) died with it.

    And good riddance.

(Please do NOT take this as a vote of support for Hillary who, as far as I'm concerned, should spend the rest of her days in a striped jumpsuit.)
