Without being asked do you ever step over the line of "polite" and tell people how they can improve? How is it received?

    I'm sure I have, but it is not something I would be proud of doing.


    If you start criticizing someone out of hand, it will fall on deaf ears and he will wind up resenting you.

    If you are just letting off steam because the person is a holy terror, then maybe some shock value would apply and cause the person to change somehow.  But I doubt it.  It just makes the person who is attacking look like a bully.
