How could Mike Flynn have fallen so low? He had a LONG distinguished military career. Did greed consume him?

The Obama administration FIRED Mike Flynn. Obama TOLD The DONALD JOHN not to hire him. Of course anything Obama says/does/is The Donald John despises so he made Flynn a top guy in spite of Obama and Sally Yates. Also to his credit Chris Christie told Trump to NOT put Flynn in that position . Jared Kushner HATED Christie because it was Christie who put Jared's dad in jail for criminal acitivity so Jared sweet-talked his FIL into getting rid of Christie and cleaving unto Flynn. Jared is a good little papa's boy isn't he? He stood up for papa and he maywell be the the straw that takes down Trump. Well there ya go! Put a relative in a sensitive position and whatever happens you deserve. The Donald John is now suffering for his obstinate refusal to listen to those who  knew better than he did because they are SMARTER than he is.  They were smarter than he was but of course he could not entertain that thought so he shot himself in the foot. Well why not?

Greed yes, but more important - power.  That's a heady combination that could turn the head of many men.  To think that you're an international mover and shaker and put into motion influencing an election to get a particular person in the president's seat is very alluring.  Happy Saturday, Rosie. :)

Such a life would be off-putting to me Spunky. I'm a sidelines person. Shadows suit me better than a spotlight. I would like to have more sovereignty/autonomy with anything that affects me of course. Who wouldn't? Beyond that I have no interest in interacting/engaging with a lot of people on the world stage. I  don't need power over others. I don't call the shots for them. I really don't care what choices they make. That is on them and not my responsibility. HOWEVER if they adversely and harmfully impact others I do care and I get engaged/involved. Otherwise count me out! Thank you for your reply! :) I turned down more than one promotion in my working life that involved managing other people. I work best on my own alone. Being responsible for what other people do? AARRGGHH! No interest! :)

I prefer to stay under the radar as well.  As a legal secretary, there really are no opportunities to move up the ladder, so to speak, unless you go for becoming a lawyer, but I do prefer to work alone.
