The following link describes four ways to find your phone if you can't locate it at home.

    https://smartphones.gadgethacks.com/how-to/4-ways-find-your-lost-cell-phone-even-if-its-silent-0138213/

Hope it helps. I haven't tried any of them yet but I plan to. I lose my phone on a daily basis.

    SO far?  None.

They want money and just are going round and round about what they can do for you.  I know you are right that there is a way to track it, but this is doing me no good.  I will keep you posted if I find something.

Bummer, sorry about that. There has to be an app around that provides that kind of service.

Oh no. I am so glad you connected to me because I was able to find someone home that called my number and I FOUND IT.

I was going insane and when I tried your site, I realized that if they call and my phone's dead, I won't get anything anyway.  Then I realized if I just get someone around here to call me maybe that would work.

And it did.  My phone was in my bedroom buried under papers and I thought I looked there and didn't see it because they are so darned thin, they are like paper. (not quite)

Anyway, I was at work one day and lost my phone and the guy at the desk was a techie and managed to find my phone location by hitting a few prompts and getting my phone and address.

So that does work, these sites you gave me want money, a credit card and I just did not think I was going to get any guarantees after I paid.

    But THANK YOU.  You rock.

That's the only reason I have a landline - so I can call myself. It's worth the $20. Lol.

Also, I have an Ipad so I can send myself a text or email. Now I kinna wish I'd bought an Ipad with cell capabilities. Oh well.

I sewed a few pouches for my phone but I don't use them. Dumb.

I've also texted friends and asked them to call my phone. I sure wish Apple would come up with a solution for this problem. I know how frustrating it can be.

Apple has.  That is the phone I have.   I don't know how to do it, but maybe I can go on youtube and find it for you.  One good turn deserves another.  Let me check.

I know about the Find My Phone app but I thought it only displayed a map and showed only a general area where the phone is. Maybe I'm wrong.
