Bozo T. knows that bigger is always better.  Bigger failures, bigger bankruptcies, bigger ego, bigger mouth ....  In his own words, "It's huge".
However, he seems to forget one basic principle - the bigger the ego the smaller the mind.

They say "size doesn't matter".  Well, evidently "they" never tried to ride a ride at Disneyland when they were young (you must be this tall to ride this ride).  They also say "bigger is better".  Ha!  Try telling that to the airlines when they force you to buy yourself two seats because you're 1 pound over their determination of "normal weight".  The whole country is size obsessed.  The produce that's sold in stores must be of equal size (apples, peaches and such) otherwise it's discarded.  Manufactures love to downsize products as it makes them more money (less product, same or higher price.  Bigger cars, bigger houses, bigger TV's, bigger shopping centers, bigger cups of coffee, bigger waistlines...   Yes, we're very size obsessed.... even though many of us see the same size or even smaller paychecks (for the same or more hours worked).

Alas, I'm no different than everyone else.  I admit that I too like things bigger - a bigger bed (so my feet don't hang off the end), a bigger dog (burglars aren't too afraid of chihuahuas)...   However, I'm not obsessed with it.  I mean sure, I'd like to have a bigger house,  but that'd mean I'd have more house to clean, more windows to wash, more taxes to pay, more things to go wrong .... .... OK, maybe not a bigger house.
There is one thing that I know for sure that I want to be bigger ... and that's my heart (no, not an enlarged heart muscle).  I want my compassion to swell, my love towards others to spread, my joy to overflow.  Frankly, I should be obsessed with the size of my heart.  With all that's happening in the world today it's easy for my heart to shrink.  You can't trust anyone, danger and unrest abound, murders, terrorism, sexual predators, thieves, swindlers ....  Heck, maybe I want a smaller house where I can just curl up and pray that no one gets me.  However, the intent of all these "things" is to make our hearts grow smaller.  The smaller our hearts get, the larger these things can grow.

Do you know that in the height of disasters and destruction, in the depths of despair, the true size of a person's heart is made manifest?  Fires, hurricanes, terrorist attacks, wars, tornadoes, earthquakes; loss of a loved one ... all these "humongous" things pale in comparison to the brightness that shines forth from even the smallest human heart.   Neighbor helping neighbor, stranger helping stranger.  Never caring about the color of the other person's skin.  Not caring about their religion or their political affiliation or their national heritage.  Just people with big hearts helping other people.  Now THAT'S the size of heart I want!  Oh, that everyone would be obsessed in obtaining the biggest heart they can.

When it comes to material things - houses, TV's, bank accounts, body parts, possessions - size really doesn't matter.  These things can come and go in the blink of an eye.  What matters most is the size of the heart. This post was edited by Shuhak at December 10, 2017 2:42 PM MST

Are you a fan of the authors Marcel Proust or James Joyce m'dear? They engage in the 'stream-of consciousness" literary style of writing. Everything comes out in no particular order as the thoughts occur and when taken as a whole it is very profound, very thoughtful, very poignant and very worthwhile. Of course I appreciate this type of writing. I engage in it from time to time. But never at this level which is quite extraordinary. You know I look for your posts because I KNOW I can depend on you to answer the question I asked, be civil, be thoughtful and be informative. So thank you for showing up as often as you do with the "right stuff". I appreciate it. You make up for the folks I ignore because they never contribute anything but insult so I have no use for them. I have no issues with anything you said! I agree completely! Happy Sunday Shuhak! :)

Strange as it may seem, I don't like reading.   In fact, I haven't read a book (save for the Bible) since I was required to back in high school.

Thank you for all your compliments.  They really make my day.

That surprises me but I don't read much either. I mostly scan newspapers and magazines. I've had several eye surgeries so reading doesn't provide the intense pleasure it used to provide. It's more a chore. An arduous task. It matters not. By now I expect you know I say what I think. I don't hold back. Of course some find that extremely upsetting/annoying. Not my problem! Thank you for your reply Shuhak and Happy Monday to you m'dear! :)
