When one has died prematurely or tragically.  The heartache doesn't readily leave me.

  • I've never regretted having one, but now that I am pet free I'm glad I no longer have the responsibility of pets.

  • That is so sad. I buried my last one a few months ago. Put a big rock over her to mark the grave and got a fig tree to plant near her. Sorry for your loss :(

  • Yes. It's comforting, also. It's like saying "I'll never forget you".

No pets and nothing to regret.  I've had them and my kids had them growing up.  No more.  I live in a pet-free community.  It's just swell!!!
