  • They're tired of grinders and hoagies and want a hero.

To blow a huge wad of cash.  I was there briefly with my parents when I was 15 and mainly drove through it to get to Niagra Falls.   The rent is exorbitant and the cost of living is atrocious.

Because they want to go to New York City. I have never been there myself. I have nothing against it, I just haven't been to the USA at all.

The USA appears to be the most popular country for singers to sing about (whether they are from the USA or not), and New York is one of the most popular cities in songs. Mott The Hoople (one of my favourite bands) were British but they often sang songs about America or with an American influence in them. These two songs are both about New York street life:

  • Because it's an awesome city!

I go there quite frequently and I have friends and family members who live there.

I could go there every day of my life and see or experience something new every second .

Yes I've gone several times.   There's a lot to do and a lot to see.  I enjoyed

    it every time.

I've been to NYC a bunch of times.  It's a nice place to visit but would never think of living there.  We had family outside the city in Montclair, NJ and my husband and I visited frequently.  He almost went to medical school up there.  I was silently happy that that didn't happen.

Why? It's a fine place to live, much more diverse and interesting than nearly anyplace else.

  • My company sent me there for training. I'll take a small town any day over a big city.

Some of us were born and live here. As for visitors, there is probably more to see and do in Manhattan alone than there are in many entire countries. It's face-paced and vibrant and there are many points of interest.
