  • It depends on the nature of the problem, the people involved, their communication skills and the resources available.
In my experience most problems can be solved without offending anyone.
There are many people involved in teaching problem solving and communication skills.
Two world-renowned ones whom I like and respect immensely are Edward de Bono and Marshall Rosenberg.
Their books are widely available, as well as many free U-tube clips free online.

I had in mind something specific Hartfire which I shall share with you. I was a big problem on Answermug. It  seems there are folks who reclassify questions on Answermug so that people can find them in the right categories. Many of my questions could go in a variety of categories . I did not know I was a headache for the reclassifiers. I just asked the questions and put them where I thought they should go. Just Asking wrote to me and told me about it and had come up with  a  solution that she thought would solve the problem. Give me my own category! That way I could ask whatever I wanted without worrying about putting it in the right place! I LOVE the idea because it removes the problem! It's like I was part of a community garden before and now I have my own small plot of land and I can plant whatever I want there! So everybody wins! I like it when there are no losers! Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at December 22, 2017 2:35 AM MST
