Trump assumes 33 million people who watched the Republican convention are all Republicans...

He said 30 million watched the DNC. I know many Democrats watched the RNC. What if 30 million were all Democrats and 3 million were all Republicans? Why couldn't he see the amount watching doesn't mean votes? Is he that clueless?

    Quite sensible I think. Because:

    a) Democrats are not likely to vote for him in any case.

    b) Quite a lot of Republicans are 'on the fence' about him. torn between 'party loyalty' and disgust at the many rather stupid things he has said (eg: building a wall along the Mexican border)

He may be able to convince the republican fence sitters that he is not all that stupid; But he have practically ZERO chance of getting any democrats to vote for him.

Why does it matter? People will vote however they vote and we'll all live with the outcome.

Because no one could stomach watching that if there is a drop of brain matter left.  It had to be Republicans.    30 million watched Melania make a total dumbass of herself.  At least I know I watched that part.
