Snigger - I saw some very odd things in America :P Peanut butter and jelly ewwwwwwwwwwww :P But seriously I love to try new things... I do remember my daughter, eating in an Italian restaurant in Ohio. She was absolutely enjoying some Calamari. Until she learned what it was!
I personally love to try new things.. I worked in a Japanese school for a long time.. there are some very weird dishes there.. one we used to refer to as egg woggle.... it smelt like erm vomit and looked like it too... I do remember a colleague who loved to try new things tasting something once that made her pull the most horrified face!
I also worked in a Chinese cafe for a while... some kind of parsnip or turnip loaf was surprisingly good.. But I never did grow fond of chrysanthemum tea! Love green tea though and my fav is brown rice and green tea.
PBJ may likely be our National Food Addb! We eat jars of it as kids and some of us take that love for it through adulthood! Ever have chocolate peanut butter ice cream or Reese's Peanut Butter cups? I'm less adventurous than you are foodwise and probably all wise/anywise. There is or was a TV show on the food network in the US that is all about a guy who travels the globe eating stomach-churning things. I can't watch it! I don't know what I'd do if I were served goat eyeballs by some Sheik somewhere. It's an insult to not eat foods offered you in some countries and I think I'd just throw up on the spot which is insulting too! Thank you for your thoughtfl answer and Happy Thursday m'dear! :)
