A short answer from me.. no. And as I say that, I offer a simple reason.. if they were the same thing there wouldn't be three different words for it :P
I just added "Conspire" to the group. I disagree with thee Addb. That's why we have a category of words called "synonyms". While the words may not be identical they all do describe people getting together to execute a plan/purpose. Folks can conspire/collude/collaborate/cooperate when planning a SURPRISE party for someone for example. Thank you for your reply. Of course the words "collude/conspire" have taken on a negative tone vis a vis the doofus don et al folks. SIGH.
I just adjusted the question to add "conspire" as well. The words describe folks getting together to work together to execute a plan/purpose. Collude/conspire take on ominous meaning when applied to doofus don and the gang of course. SIGH. D'ya think the best they can nail donjohn with will be obstruction of justice or do you think collusion will also be a choice? Donjohn says Mueller will treat him fairly. Who judges that? Donjohn? I"m gonna ask. Thank you for your reply JakobA! :)
