Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Do you prefer to answer questions whose answers provide provable facts or do you prefer questions based on imagination?
No real preference, although fact based ones are more likely to get an answer from me that is dispositive when I am in a hurry or lazy---and therefore not up to the effort of posting any platitudinous ponderosities generated from my imagination.
You view your imagination as generating platitudinous ponderosities? Oy Vey! WHY? Or did you just want to use those 2 words and this occasion seemed appropriate? Okey dokey. Thank you for your dispositive reply and Happy New Year 2018 Monday tom! :)
Oh. Darn! I thought there was a specific intent/purpose behind those choices. Okey dokey. Well it's the New Year. Didja have fun New Year's Eve? I hope so! I hope the 2018 ahead is filled with tons of fun! Thank you for your reply tom! :)
Neither. I choose the questions I find the most interesting to think about. Sometimes they require a but of research, and then I seek out the most solid proof available. Sometimes they require imagination. Having been an artist for twenty years, and now developing as a writer, I find imagination fairly easy, and fun. But most often I look to my experiences and general learning to find my answers.
Thank you for your reply Hartfire. Fact-based questions these days vary in substance . Anything doofus don- related is disgusting because it represents another thing he did/said that is despicable. But I ask them anyway. I am a fan of science so asking those questions are often very informative when folks "in the know" respond. My favorite questions to ask and answers to read are those that are WHAT IF? Some folks don't like them. I mean you like what you like and don't like what you don't like. Period. I love to take flights of fantasy and go to "WHAT IF" land. WHAT IF there were no hate? WHAT IF all people respected one another? WHAT IF humans really did "love thy neighbor as thyself"? What kind of world would we have if the "WHAT IF" were true? SIGH. But WHAT IF can only be tantalizing at best since we live in a not what-if world. I remember a question I asked on Answerbag years ago. WHAT IF GOD WERE GAY ? I got dozens and dozens of answers none of which were insulting or hostile. I remember one person gave a memorable answer. "That would explain rainbows". I will always remember that question because the answer was incredibly beautiful to me. Thank you for your thoughtful reply Hartfire! :)
