Some folks are very hard on themselves and see themselves as less than they really are. And others see themselves as more. What does it take to "see ourselves as others see us"? Why?

    I think you have to have some years of experience and be able to look back at how well you handled decisions in your life.  I think if you are mentally healthy, you won't have an inflated ego, nor will you be willing to beat yourself up at every turn of the corner.

    I think that's just about as perfect an answer as I could think of m'dear. I do. I think you are exactly right. When you're very  young you don't have any landmarks or signposts or guidelines to fall back on . You haven't created or lived them yet.
