Why don't kids in Minnesota play "Duck Duck Goose?"
How did Minnesota diverge linguistically from “duck duck goose” to “duck duck gray duck”? A friend who's a native Minnesotan told me about this years ago, much to my puzzlement.
As a native Minnesotan, I find it puzzling that kids play duck, duck, goose. We went red duck, blue duck, yellow duck, gray duck. I wouldn't know how to play it any other way.
