Ever experience "road rage" when you weren't on the road? You were angry/hostile and popped off at anyone/anything no matter how trivial?

Do you still do that? Do you still get enraged/outraged/furious/irate and the only way you have to vent is to attack others for any reason at any time for any thing?  Does that really satisfy you? Or does it scare you?  Are you always in control and able to stop or do you get out of countrol and have to rant until you wear out?

Road Rage---Road rage is aggressive or angry behavior exhibited by a driver of a road vehicle, which includes rude gestures, verbal insults, physical threats or dangerous driving methods targeted toward another driver in an effort to intimidate or release frustration.

No, I seldom bother with trivialities---but trivial things can become major issues at times.

A few years back it was very scary on some highways in California tom. Folks apparently had loaded guns on the seats beside them and on occasion would just shoot someone who cut them off. Worse than that there were snipers somewhere out there taking shots at drivers from freeway overpasses or on the side of the road. It seems to have calmed down somewhat. Driving is a different experience now than it used to be in the long ago. You never know whether the guy driving alongside you is a crackpot with a hairtrigger temper and a loaded gun. SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :)

I read some years ago about a retired Sheriff somewhere in America that went to the cinema and shot dead another cinema go'er  that was texting on his phone while the film was showing.......it never said that the sheriff got arrested though....
In Johannesburg in South Africa....thier  freeways have 60 mph minimum speed limits because of the number of snipers shooting at vehicles that use the roads.......a friend went there just before Christmas and she told me when she returned...
it's a place never ever to visit I think.......

Which means wherever you go there are crackpots with loaded guns ready and willing to do you in! It makes a person wanna stay inside and never venture out. I don't recall reading about that American Sheriff but I'm not surprised. Guns are everywhere in America. They might as well be selling them on roadside stands t wo for a $1! I read of firemen starting fires just so they can be heroes and put them out. Crackpot whackos are not confined to a specific group. They are like maggots or roaches. They can be found everywhere! Thank you for your reply D! :)

Yes....mostly to the stupid stupid male and female riders of peddle bikes riders that think they own the roads and are in titled  to special privileges and don't have to ride safely and think they can argue with huge articulated lorries and anyother fast large vehicles........

How there isn't huge numbers of daily fatalities on London's city streets I just don't know........The police do nothing about them and normally blame the vehicle drivers.....

Cyclist are by far the stupidest riders on the road with no thought for their own safety....

I think they are also the most vulnerable. Motorcyclists often cut in and out of traffic like they're on the ski slopes. They see a narrow path ahead and take it. Those who ride rides take their lives in the their hands because they have no protection at all against a distracted driver who isn't paying attention. There are bike path zones CLEARLY marked on the streets and you see cars in them all the time! It's war zone out there and everyone is the enemy. SIGH. Thank you for your reply NJ! :)

Exactly! I guess they think there are no rules for them D. They cut in and out of traffic at will without consequences until they cause an accident! I mean you have to take classes and pass a written and "driving" test and get a license to ride a motocycle. Just as you do for automobiles or planes. So it's not as if they don't KNOW the proper things to do. They just don't care. Auto drivers are like that too. They're on the road and they think they own it. They rarely signal when they changes lanes they just do it. Over here you have to drive defensively every single minute you are behind the wheel. You literally take your life in your hands. Thank you for your reply NJ. :)

Half of Londoners lok like immigrants Rosie..........They drive like they are still in their own countries I feel....

The police use cameras to collect speeding fines and do nothing for dangerous driving......

There is a three/four lane road that goes under the Thames and takes you past the Olympic site and then on to our motorway system......

I use the road often along with other idiots that desperatly need to get in front....Most all look forigen .....how there isn't more deaths I can't really say....
Another road that links off it in east London is called The North Circular Road.....it goes all around outer London....The north east section of it in Chingford is one of the most dangerous roads in England I've ever driven on.....

You mean the police just collect fines and do NOTHING further to the person who is driving dangerously? So they can keep collecting fines from the same people repeatedly? It sounds like a high-speed high-class race course D and you'd better know what the heck you're doing to survive it. Is that your only alternative to getting where you need to go? What kind of public transportation system do you have? Of course I'm in love with your two-decker buses. Is public transportation affordable/efficient/a good alternative to use often? How far do you have to drive that race course  to your destination? Sorry for all the quetions but I'm just imagining what you describe and it is daunting to think about. Actually driving on it? I dunno. You are one brave  lady! Thank you for your reply NJ! :)

I know people that have been thrown out of police stations for reporting their vehicles stolen.....

The police had a reserve of money two years plus ago in access of five and a half billion pounds and they are still winging that it's not enough.....I have no idea what their fund is now....
They are allowed to keep all fines ....
If one camera breaks they site a mobile speed trap there until it's repaired....

Public transport ,busses and the underground system is prohibitively expensive.....you can't pay cash on busses anymore....you also need a bank loan to travel on them.....

So what the heck is your "government" doing about all of this D? Are they keeping hands off and letting the cops have their way unchecked? And isn't there some kind of monitoring of fees charged to use PUBLIC transport systems? More naive quesions I guess on my part but what you describe seems to be a hornet's nest of "can't win" options for the public. If you can't use cash what do you use? Tokens? Poker Chips? Monopoly. Aren't public transportation systems SUPPOSED TO serve the public, not gouge the heck out of them? I think you need  a miracle. A reset button someone pushes to make it all settle down and work FAIRLY and JUSTLY and HONESTLY. Another what if question lurks therein which I have a duty to ask. Thank you for your reply D! :)

You have to buy a what looks like a credit card and put cash on it before you travel. That way they can keep tracks on you and where you are going....... On the underground trains you have to log out of the station......if you don't it confiscates the longest ride possible of of your prepaid card...
There is no redress in England for any in local government or police or any in athority

You cannot take out private summons to any in local government either......
