Yes. Some of the things that people say cannot be allowed to stand. If they have been polite, I am as well. If they have been inappropriately aggressive, I will bury you if necessary.
I've always liked the legal principle that you can meet force with proportional force in return---fist to fist or gun to gun.
I've changed tom. Long ago in the "olden" days I'd confront every single one of them. Now? I just ignore them mostly. Every once in a while I might pipe up and confront someone. It gets rarer as I get older. I just want to spend my time asking the questions that occur to me and talking to folks I can depend on to make my time spent with them worthwhile. I am a perennial student. I love to talk to people who are kind enough to share what they know. I LOVE to learn. I have always been attracted to people smarter than I am. It is very comforting to know I'm in good company. I've never been a patient person. I realize that is a defect in my character but try as I may it doesn't change. In fact I am less patient now than I used to be so that's another reason why I just avoid and don't engage with some people. Maybe I'm just getting lazier. I always try to be polite. Sometimes I fail. But I try. That "fist to fist or gun to gun" doesn't work for me. It's probably more a guy thing. Men have it tough. They have to be all things to all people. They have to b e strong and confident and brave and protect and they also have to be very sensitive and caring and giving and understanding. Women can just fall apart and get away with it and not be damaged by it. Men do not have that option. Thank you for your reply! :)
