Planned, thought out, calculated/off-the-cuff, impulsive, ad lib/a divine admixture? The former is controlled by intellect, right?

The brain/mind/thought processes are always engaged in the former. The second one is controlled by emotion. Want, feel RIGHT NOW! The he** with what comes after. Emotion-based can be entertaining. It is never dependable or comforting. Are you controlled by mind/brain/thought/intellect 24/7 or whatever is available at the time?

No. That's completely false. There are plenty of intelligent people who make very emotionally charged poor decisions. There are plenty of people of low intelligence that are very sane and have a lot of common sense.

Intellect is just a tool that can help get what we want in life. Though those desires don't exist at all without emotion. Emotion is the foundation of the human condition.

Good decisions come from emotional balance. The desire to suppress your emotions is just another emotion (i.e. fear). The desire to think of yourself as rational and above primitive animal emotion is just another emotion (i.e. pride).

To well adjusted people, emotion is an asset not a liability. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at January 21, 2018 1:59 AM MST
