Instead of acting like adults and fessing up to their mistakes, the Republicans chooses to play the blame game. This party is so very dead in November......................I hope.

There is some conjecture that the BLUE WAVE of Democratic wins in November will in fact be a TSUNAMI. If so Dems will take back the majority in the House and the Senate and the doofus donjohn will be surrounded by folks he can't intimidate or hold hostage. Unless something happens before then like Congress getting a spine and starting Impeachment proceedings after Mueller lays down the entire case against the donjohn prez and buries him. Thank you for your reply Zack and Happy Saturday! :)

It's all about priorities. The leftist wishes to suckle on the teat of government. They are dimly aware, in the backs of their minds, that this money comes from somewhere, though they don't really care where. Tax it. Borrow it. Steal it. Just keep the tap running...

The leftist supports high taxation primarily out of envy, not financial awareness that government largess needs to be funded.

What the left wants from government, in priority order, is as follows -

    1) Give me free sh*t.
    2) Don't hold me responsible for anything.
    3) Steal other people's sh*t so I can feel less pathetic (not because I'm overly worried about the budget balancing).

So they only really squeal when spending cuts are suggested. Thus tax cuts are easier to pass than spending cuts. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at January 20, 2018 9:39 PM MST

Because the vote requirements were different.  The Tax Cut and Jobs Act only required 51 votes because it was done under reconciliation.
To pass the Budget requires 60 votes....so again the Dem did not vote to pass a budget. A problem they also had under Pres Obama, they went for years without a budget. (6 yrs I believe)
