What do you enjoy most about traveling to foreign countries? The sightseeing, the people you meet, the food?

I am not a traveler but if I were I know I'd want to dine at all the famous fabulous restaurants you read about. I'm a FOODIE you see and I'd visit the stores and farmer's markets and see what foods were available there that are not available in America. A gastronomic adventure with money being no object. I expect dining at fabulous restaurants is very costly.

    All of the above.

Getting out among the natives, soaking in the sounds and smells, really immersing in the surroundings.
Helps to appreciate how different life is in other places. I’ve visited over 40 countries in my life so far, for me, it enables a mature understanding of the world. This post was edited by Don Barzini at January 25, 2018 2:03 AM MST
