Article 1, Secion 2, Clause 3 of The Constitution is about representation/taxation. Do WHITE NATIONALISTS think that elevates THEM?

With regard to determining a state's total population it says that free persons shall be counted as whole persons..that Indians shall be excluded...that all others shall be counted as 3/5 of a person. The  point of it was  to determine LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATION and TAXING PURPOSES. I expect racists use that as their authority to assume their superiority over people of color. Do you agree? Is that really saying okey dokey to racism in America? I wonder?  Is that where they get the idea that AMERICA should be a country of WHITES and people of color are all second-class or even worse? Racists don't give a rat's a** about legislation or rules or regulations. They only give a rat's a** about the color of your skin AND your political views. That's it! Period. Anything else is not on their radar. They  spot one another easily although sometimes they can get fooled I betcha.

Those rules were made to protect the black people. How the House of Representatives is divided up is based on the census. Do you think slaves should have been counted to give slave owners more representative in Congress?
Do you believe those Representatives would protect the slaves or the owners?
I don't care what race someone is....that is the left's MO. Identity Politics is their bread and butter.

Before the US gained independence one if the biggest sticking points between 'the colonists' and Britain was just that Taxation. The colonists had to pay taxes, but had zero representatives in the British government to speak for them. That have rise to the slogan "no taxation without representation", and the Boston tea party etc. At least pretending they would have been happy to pay their taxes if they had gotten something in return. So by the time they had to form their own government it had to be in there. Of course most of the inhabitants of the new nation were neither white nor black, they were red Indians (who did not pay taxes anyway). So if anything is worth noting there, it is that the injuns still did not count at all. They have zero representation.

I have never heard any conservative (or Trumpeteer) argue that that had anything to do with the 'worth' of people. You are reaching.

I always reach for the stars JacobA. Haven't you figured that out yet? Somewhere someone may recognize my point and a discussion will ensue and it may be one of the very best discussions I've ever had the privilege of experiencing. I shall always reach. I shall always WHAT IF? I shall always opine and conjecture and wonder and ponder and fantasize and invent. Who knows what I'll find if I keep looking for my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? I am not phased by those who don't like my questions.  I ask what occurs to me and I play around with possible whys. It's my MO. Others may be much more prim and proper and always stay within the box and never go outside the lines. I am not one of them. Thank you for your reply. Next?
