You are a promised something and in return you do something for the Promiser. You delivered. How do you KNOW he/she will or intended to?

Some will promise you the moon to have their way with you never intending to follow through. Politicians are very well noted for doing that. Voters BELIEVE them and vote for them and then are royally screwed by the liar who made the promise. People are very gullible. They will believe the absurd word of a con man because they want to so much. They keep doing it repeatedly. The con man  keeps promising repeatedly. It's a little game they play. Guess who always wins?  :(

    Exactly, that is why we must insist on funding the wall and securing the border first.
    Reagan gave amnesty in the 80s with the condition that the border be secured...it never happened. The Dems refused to fund it. 
    It will not happen again.

    Generally I think voters only believe a fraction of what is promised. Politicians making impossible promises is a tradition that go back centuries. Sometime because they thought it really would be easy, and sometimes because they see it as a 'smart' way to win in the election (as you imply).

    To tell the truth I think Trump is in the 'ignorant' category. And that is strange. Having built so many buildings he should know the costs involved in clearing land, digging foundations, etc, etc. But it seems he don't. or maybe he just copied the teaparty's wishful guesses, thinking they were real estimates.

    I dunno JakobA. The doofus don lovers INSIST on a wall, banning travel, immigration REFORM(stoppage would suit them to a T) and NO PATH TO CITIZENSHIP for Dreamers. I don't know if they will stop  DEMANDING all those things. They are insistent. The cherry on top would be for doofus don to "lock her up". They can't get enough of  Hillary hating and having her in prison would definitely be their cuppa tea. Now I did hear one guy who voted for Trump say some threatening things. What stood out was that if the doofus didn't come through with all he promised they were going to come for him. His supporters are not the cream de la creme of society you see so they operate on emotion not logic. Many are not educated. Idle threats or serious promises? I dunno. Thank you for your reply! :)
