Right. It should not be hard to imagine there would be at least one planet in each galaxy where conditions are suitable for life to begin and evolutionary process to occur. Would be interesting to find out what kinds of plants, birds, bugs and beasts dwell there and if any kind of intelligent life there might be.

Yes it would as there is no intelligent life on this planet.

Touche mostly. I think those who point out the incarnate stupidity of those who follow evil blindly and embrace it and defend it and support it and lie to keep it alive are not without a certain degree of intelligence. Just my opinion of course. My 2 cents' worth! :)

Maybe there are billions among the 2 trillion Kg with entities way smarter than we are. The universe really can blow your mind when you explore it tangentilly. I cannot possibly grasp such a huge number but there it is! Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

My reply is to Kittigate Ele whom I sometimes call Kg. You got a problem with that? I already replied to you. Maybe you can re-read that? It starts with "touche mostly".

For obvious reasons (me being a science teacher) Kg has been kilograms for decades. I'll remember that.

Now see you give me too much credit Ele. I had no idea what it meant other than shorthand for Kittigate. So it is kilogram. Yes. I have heard of them but I do not have a clue how they relate to pounds and ounces and miles or meters or kilometers for that matter. I am a dunce so apologies. I did not get the relevance. Too esoteric for me. It happens.

A kilogram is the unit of mass for the SI (metric) system. It is equal to 2.2 pounds.

Thank you Ele. So why is it that the whole world is metric except the United States? It is isn't it? How come?

Yes it is. The US stayed with the English system because our manufacturing tools were set up for it. Re-tooling would have cost a fortune. As it is, since so many manufacturers have gone over-seas, sometimes (lets use automobiles for example) fasteners could be both systems in one car. Mechanics have had to purchase metric tools to work with newer vehicles. I have a set of metric wrenches and sockets, along with the standard SAE tools . The scientific community uses only the metric system worldwide.
