Ever heard of "e-skin"? It's electronic skin that can heal it self and then make more skin. it can be completely recycled! Amazing?
If torn apart it can repair/heal itself. An article in the journal SCIENCE ADVANCES is the source. There is no waste at all. It will be used in prostheses, robots and textiles. How about in burn victims?
