When someone you love and respect gets involved with someone you despise do you loose respect for that person?

  • Not necessarily.  This is way too general to say definitely.  I might talk to the person and try to see what they're seeing in that person that I'm missing though.  But you really can't control who other people want to get involved with.  You often just become the "bad guy".

    Someone I despise?  I will lose contact.  Forget about the respect.  Good-bye.    When someone gets "involved" then I am inadvertently going to get involved, unless I get gone.    I did not sign up for the extra weirdo in the friendship.
