I think it's an instant power hit Rosie.......the more leathal the weapon the more they feel invincible....... Having one is meaning unless you know you'll use it even for the most minisqual reasons...... Im pretty sure so many people open fire just to save face no matter what the outcome will be......
I think a gun is a phallic symbol D. Google "are guns phallic symbols?" and read what comes up. American men are sexually inadequate so they NEED guns to feel manly. I also asked a question about the connection between the use of VIAGRA and gun ownership. I don't know if there is one but it seems logical to me that there would be. In Australia easy gun access was given up almost two decades ago when they got sick and tired of the gun-related carnage. American men cannot give up guns. It would be like emasculating them. Something sinister in a country where gun ownership is more important than the lives of schoolchildren. I couldn't figure out what. Now I believe I know. SIGH.
