    Freud suggested that some girls experience anxiety upon realization that they do not have a penis.

    Possibly some don't get over it and enjoy instead performing the ultimate act of castration---killing.

    Of course, some of Freud's theories are not popular today......

    Yesterday was my day of illumination tom. Those with obsessive gun fetishes are sexually inadequate. I Googled "Are guns phallic symbols?" and boy oh boy you shouldda seen what came up vis a vis that!. Yes they are according to many studies. The more guns they have the MANLIER they feel and of course gun women get to stroke guns and fantasize I suppose all kinds of embarrassing things. I never could understand the why of gun mania in America. The Second Amendment  is not the reason for the obsession with guns. It is the American Male sexual inadequacy is. Makes sense. Explains the irrational unreasonable illogical attachment to guns. It is a primal attachment. Now men in Australia are manly on their own. A couple of decades ago Australia figured out that they didn't like what was happening so they made gun ownership a lot less accessible. Guess what?  Deaths by guns plummeted. Australian guys seem to be handling it quite well. American men and their gun-toting mols are desperately in need of feeling whole. Without their guns they feel a hole. It's all psychological. Anyway for me the mystery is solved. The more guns a guy owns the more manly he feels and the less inadequate. Period. Thank you for your reply m'dear! :) I wonder how many gun guys will have the cajones to challenge that?

    The Sarah Palin probably strokes all her guns and gets off on it.  A respondent said something about penis envy. I dunno. I think the manic  obsession with guns in America is definitely psychological. They fill a need. Google "are guns phallic symbols"  Spunky and see what comes up! A revelation illumination.     I agree with you, Rosie.  Having a gun in your hand makes you feel powerful and to a person with no power, that's a very heady thing.

    I think the hunters should have their heads cut of for killing for pleasure of any monetary reasons.......killing for food is natures way of providing nutrition for all living things.....
    We are mealy nature's top predator thats invented the gun....:(
