Here's some really good news! Read an article on how to stay active/healthy as you age and discovered that we do what they suggest. Do you?

Drink two cups of coffee daily
Drink alcohol in MODERATION--maximum daily 2 beers or two glasses of wine  WITH MEALS
Be actively involved in something you have a passion for/love that occupies your mind and stretches it
Stay informed about what's going on around you

Of course getting exercise and making nutritious food choices goes without saying. That's important to everyone as much as is possible.

Our checkups always show us to be in excellent health. We get vaccinations when required and always get a FLU shot each year. Maybe genetics and luck has something to do with it too. I guess it couldn't hurt!

If it doesn't get you living longer, it will feel longer anyway.

Vaccinations are mere pinpricks nowadays, says I, due another one tomorrow.

I have no idea what you mean. Too clever by half I guess. Thank you for reply. I don't have to understand them to thank folks for their responses. Lucky for you. Happy Tuesday Malizz! :)

People must be getting shorter, the way my comments keep flying over their heads.

Actually I HAVE shrunk over the years but not a lot. I'm 80 and I used to be 5' 6-3/4 inches...almost 5'7. I'm still 5'6". Now my sister who used to be 5'10" (she's 73) is now my height...5'6" but she has a very bad back and a compressed disc so I think that's what did it. Same thing with my Jim. He also has a compressed disc in his back and was 5' 10" and now is 5' 6" (he is 82) so all things considered I'm not doing too badly. Now I gave you an opportunity to 'splain yourself and you didn't. I'm giving you another one. What is the "it" to which you refer which I am supposed to understand apparently which I don't. What "it"? Feeling longer indicates boredom and I am never  bored with what comes after your "it" so it isn't applicable to me. See my problem? So what is the "it" please and thank you Malizz! C'mon. Give a gal a break. This post was edited by RosieG at February 22, 2018 8:02 AM MST
