Did anyone see Fergie's rendition of the national antheme? What do you think of It?

    I heard it.  It was awful.  Even she apologized for taking such liberties with it.  Live and learn.

    I really didn't mind the liberties so much as it seemed off key. But at least she did apologize. I am sure she will not try that again.

    Oh goodness, that's awful.  She sang it for a game a month or so ago and had the flu.  She still did a great job.  But this right here is nasty.

    I didn't watch the Super Bowl but was that when the singer had the flu?  I may have caught it on the news.  I thought it was Fergie.  That performance was spot on whoever it was.  That mess of trying to turn the Anthem into an Etta James blues number was really awful.

    I think she did have the flu. 
    P!nk has short blonde hair, she was in white outfit for the SB. 
    I didn't mind Fergie changing the tone so much but she was just off key. You just cannot do something so different and not nail it.

    I didn't see either performance in full, only video clips on the news.  The one who did a beautiful job had the flu.  So I guess that was Pink, who I am a fan of her music.  The other one was horrendous.

    Individuals shouldn't redesign the current American flag;  same for the National Anthem, IMO.
