Have you ever seen a stranger on the street or from a distance whose appearance still remains in your memory? A fleeting glimpse of someone that you still remember in detail today?

There were two such instances for me. One was when I was about sixteen and I saw a teen about my age walking up some stairs with what I guessed were his parents, He glanced at me for whatever reason and I still remember what he looked like. Yes he was very good-looking. That was 62 years ago.  The second time I was in my  late 20's with my toddler son and we were walking at  Disneyland.   A young woman walked by. She was dressed very simply. No makeup. Long hair. A pretty bracelet that she wore on her wrist. Her clothes seemed to float. She had a lovely smile and was walking alone and I thought  "I wish I looked exactly like her" . She wasn't drop-dead gorgeous. But I admired how she carried herself and how she was dressed. She had grace and elegance.  She didn't look like Audrey Hepburn but she reminded me of Audrey Hepburn for some reason. What about you? Anything like that ever happen to you?

what a great and original question!!

I"m a retired makeup artist so always note people's features, etc., both men & women.....once at the library a young lady came in, it was summer and she had a simple cotton dress on, and a really nice figure..she was so pretty!!  and very little makeup (I noticed!! lol) but it was beautifully applied........I thought to myself, 'lady, if I was a straight guy, I"d ask you out'!!!....lol.

I always said I should be a talent scout for a modelling agency as I'm always coming across men/women, all ages, races, etc., that should be on the cover of a magazine!!!!!

on a side note...when I was a little kid, I thought that all pretty/handsome people were in the movies; that there were no really attractive people in real life..........I soon learned otherwise rather quickly!! ah, the innocence of childhood!!!!!!!

Last time I went to Liverpool (about two months ago) I saw a woman in the street and I was 99% sure it was the same woman I'd briefly spoken to in a record shop in Liverpool in 1989. I didn't really pay attention to her clothes or anything like that, it was her face and hair that looked familiar. What are the chances of seeing the same stranger on two totally separate occasions 27 years apart, in a city with a population of over 800,000 when I only go there occasionally?

    Happy Friday, Rosie!:)

It is a good question, Rosie, although I'm not especially good at describing people's physical features in detail. :)
