NRA is formed to protect our 2nd amendment rights. It also has safety training for firearms. It has free programs for schools to help defend the schools.
It helped to pass background checks for firearms purchases. It supports requiring all the states to participate by reporting criminals and those who have been mentally adudicated as a danger. Currently many states do not report all crimes.
They replayed an NRA video that showed them calling for this for years. I have not found a YouTube video of it yet.

An NRA membership gives you choice of sporting magazines and discounts at different places similar to AAA car club.

Yes, he was on the school rifle team which received a grant from the NRA. He was also in ROTC.  Should be fault both those programs?

My son was also on a shooting team at school, they were sponsored by Bass Pro Shops....so what. If one of those on the team flipped and did something is would not be BPS fault either.

Some of those companies are dropping any connection to the NRA. Mutual of Omaha said it will not renew its contract to provide the official NRA credit card. Another company just severed connections with the NRA. I forget which one but I do believe there is more to come.Being associated with the NRA is no longer going to be an asset for many companies. It will be a black mark and harmful/hurtful/damaging.  Thank you for your helpful reply m2c. I appreciate it. Happy Saturday to thee! :) This post was edited by RosieG at February 24, 2018 3:03 AM MST
