So far the Mueller indictments against Paul Manafort and Rick Gates are all about them. How does it relate to donjohn?

The charges in the first Indictment were about fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. The second indictment consisted of the following

16 counts of filing false income tax returns
7 counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts
5 counts of bank fraud conspiracy
4 counts of bank fraud

I wonder. Is Mueller building a rock-solid case of money-laundering (via purchase of real estate) against Manafort (Gates plans to flip and testify against Manafort) and then once done plans to show how the  Trump empire engaged in washing that money for him via real estate deals? Lock in Manafort. Connect donjohn to it. Connect the dots. NO ESCAPE.
