I do know a few who did that. As for me, meh. One of the hardest parts of my marriage was knowing that my ex was incapable of selfless love and that real love was out there somewhere. I'm sure if he ever got a proper clinical diagnosis, he'd come back as having NPD. It's a real thing. People throw around narcissism as a buzz word, but man... when someone like that is in your life... Yeah. Anyway, I'm probably one of the most unlucky-in-love people you'll ever meet, but I always believed in it and always will. Some people just aren't capable of giving love, but not everyone is that way.
