With your birth certifcate, driver's license and marriage license you get a gun. 3 guns should be enough for anyone right?

If you have multiple marriages you don't get a gun with each one. Only the first. Don't wanna be greedy now do ya?

    No, we will not be limiting anyone's rights. 
    Should we limit other things as well? Cars, houses, vacations, children, knives, tools, pets, etc.

    None of those exist for the sole purpose of killing people. Assault rifles are antipersonnel weapons, there is no reason for anybody but the military to possess them.

    Never heard of hunting, target shooting, and protection, I suppose.
    And an assault rifle is only legal for the military. An assault rifle is a machine gun.

    An AR-15 is a semiautomatic assault rifle, NOT used for hunting or target practice and not a machine gun. There was a moratorium on their purchase from 1994-2004, the Bush administration caved in to the NRA (A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION) and allowed it to lapse. The kid who shot up the school in Florida bought his very easily, legal as breathing. No background check.
    Protection is a misnomer - if your gun is ready to hand it's unsafe. One of your kids finds it, thinks it's a toy and shoots his brother, happens all the time. If it's locked away it's NO F***ING PROTECTION. You can't get it quickly enough for it to be useful.
    In any case, an assault rifle is not required for any reason other than to kill people. High capacity magazines are also only used for that purpose. Both are illegal in Australia, the UK and everywhere else in the world that has sane gun laws. The Second Amendment is an anachronism and should be repealed - the Redcoats aren't coming anymore and the US has a well-equipped permanent army, no need for untrained militias.
