This site is most eclectic; creativity, ideas and topics are all contributed by quite the motley crew from the world-wide web.

Ok, I think. I think I totally hit it, but I got more if you want more.

Eclectic is sort of a harmony with discordant notes.

There is not just one blend or one type.  It is a variety of whatever you are concerned with.  Like eclectic design is a concoction of different styles.

An eclectic party would have all types of people.

Do you want the dictionary definition?

No, I know the dictionary definition. Your "E' upgraded to an "A", outstanding :)

We might say all individuals, most unknowingly, are eclectic and society itself built upon past civilizations making us stand upon the shoulders of giants. This post was edited by O-uknow at March 5, 2018 9:48 PM MST

People sometimes ask that. I graduated high school and entered the military. Many technical schools ever since.

Ok.   I just figured you had a special interest in a field of study, but technical is a HUGE field of study.  So, that's very cool.

These days an eclectic view is usually called 'Holistic'. Same meaning different fashions.
