Infinite I would think..........in countless billions of years we've all originated from one one cell organisms to countless millions of different species ,plant and Bactria life forms......
Things will always keep evolving.......it's just how evolution constantly keeps adapting to overcome each and every problem it encounters as time passes...
I agree that we will always keep evolving, but evolving isn't the same as improving; evolving means adapting to whatever the prevailing conditions are in order to sustain a form of life. In some cases, over millions of years, a species will have evolved to the point of extinction because in the process of evolution, it cannot remain as it was and a new species is born.
That's very true.... I think evolution allows for its mistakes and let's species die out in a kind of only the servival of the fittest ......in many cases the weaker one wins as well...
Humans are the top preditors and more than likely will destroy the planet with its war mongering ways or by overpopulation or pollution of the planet.... i think humans are quite capable of developing far greater brain capacit over the comming centuries..... The last onehundred and twenty years has shown so many incredible advances........things are now speeding up at such a alarming rate and maybe you quickly in certain cases.......producing GM foods and being unable to control how they cross pollinate ..
I agree with you for the most part except that I'm not sure evolution occurs due to nature's mistakes. I think it occurs to accommodate conditions on which it never counted - certain species of fish are extinct due to over-fishing, certain animals are extinct because man has encroached on their territories. I'm not sure if humans will develop far greater brain capacity or they will rely on artificial intelligence. We have reached a point where you hardly have to think about a lot of everyday things because there's an app for that. I heard about a study that was done not long ago where they gave infants about a year old an iPad. Within half an hour to an hour, they had figured out how to turn it on and use the functions. They figured out that if you swipe one way you get one thing and the same if you swipe the other way. Icons with their parents faces or grandparents faces were on the pad and they figured out that if you press that icon, you can talk to that person. Imagine - this was with absolutely no one showing them how to use this.
I think what is going to happen as far as humans go is that the human body will eventually evolve to accommodate the lack of clean air and whatever negative effect GMO foods create. In the process, some humans will die off, leaving the stronger ones to procreate. Have you ever noticed that as soon as scientists conquer one major disease, another comes to take its place? I believe this is nature's way of assuring that the earth is not over-populated and that there is sufficient food for all. Yes, there are places in the world where there is famine and drought, but if you were to even out the population of the world to all the places where there's a lower density of people, there may not be the dire conditions that exist in sub-Sahara, for example. Remember, too, that some of these conditions are caused because of their governments.
