    For most people pain comes and goes just like happiness.  It is so we can appreciate.

    I dunno. Nature is funny. It develops recipes to make toxins to cause pain,  sickness and death for reptiles  (as well as plants and insects) and the gland to produce it but has never developed any sort of gland for any creature that could produce a substance to give some pain relief due to sickness or injury. We need to feel pain yes but I don't think we need to feel chronic pain. Seems life is just not fair sometimes. 
    There are pain clinics that could be helpful.
