I'm mostly happy with what he's done. This budget is a bloated sack of crap, and the fact that Pelosi & Schumer like it is proof. I wish he'd veto it, but I'm sure he won't. It's at least as bad as what we'd have gotten if Hillary had been elected.
Of course there is NO WAY we can know what kind of prez Hillary might have been. Only your prejudiced partisan views can assume what you assume. Me too. I'm a Liberal Dem. I truly believe that no one could have been worse than what we have. I'm 80. Big JOHN is the absolute antithesis of what a president should be. To me. To you he is nirvana. Joy. Your saviour. Oh he's not perfect by far. Signing this bloated budget is proof. But he's given us better Judicial nominees than we've seen in a long time. He's willing to stand up to our enemies. He supports Israel, which is something Obama never did. And he wants to give us a military that can fight if need be.
Personally, I'd be happier if he'd cut about 20% from the federal budget, shut down the DoE & DoEd told the UN to go f-ck themselves and started fining every business that hired an illegal immigrant without using e-Verify (for all its flaws) 50,000 per illegal PLUS throwing a few of the execs & people doing the hiring in jail for a month. I'd fire every Obama-era State Department employee. I'd go with a little different tax system and payroll (Social Security) tax system than we have. Ideally, I'd love to see Social Security made voluntary. I sure as the world wouldn't participate in it, and if I end up with nothing to retire on that's MY problem, not yours. FDR, Woodrow Wilson, LBJ and Herbert Hoover were some of my least favorite Presidents.
And we could have done worse than Hillary with that doddering old fool Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein. Not much, but worse. We would have done worse than Trump with Jeb! or Lindsey Graham or John Kasich.
I'd kind of like to see an end to all elections, and just send people to DC for 3 years by pulling their name out of a hat. They serve their 3 years, then go home and work as a doctor or a cook or a mechanic or truck driver or plumber again.
