Some Republicans are choosing not to run for re-election. So far I believe there are 23 of them. How worried is the GOP?

That just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Ya got a couple of mid-term election wins in RED states and the upcoming NATIONAL mid-term elections headed our way in November 2018. A blue wave? A TSUNAMI of crushing and historical size? What can doofylucy do to turn people around and enlarge his base? What can GOP pols do to attract folks who are now more apt to support their opponents? There's considerable time between now and then to DO SOMETHING DIFFERENTLY. Will they or do they even a clue what they should do? The chaos/conflict/confusion strategy employed by doofylucy is turning people off.  Is he gonna change? Not likely. What is?

Just part of dranking the swamp.
I don't believe a "blue wave" is coming. I know my Dem Sen is going home. She will not get another gift like Akin and his "legitimate rape" statement again. This post was edited by my2cents at March 27, 2018 7:50 PM MDT

Dranking the swamp? All he did was change the slimy creatures who live in it m2c. If you think otherwise then you are just kidding yourself. Thank you for your reply. I know you meant "draining" but I like "dranking"  a lot and I just might use it. But I will attribute it to an "Ansermugger". I don't take credit for things that aren't mine. :)

There is no blue wave coming. Though even if there were, so what? What Trump is doing is the only hope for future of the U.S. and western civilisation. Watering down the message, just to achieve symbolic victories while western civilisation continues its decline, is pointless.

If the American people are too stupid to see the truth, their civilisation will collapse, and on some level it will deserve to collapse. There would be a renaissance eventually but it would take decades, maybe even centuries, to undo the damage if the U.S. falls.

There are only two possibilities, victory or collapse into a post industrial leftist sh*thole. So the right really have nothing to lose. If we fail, we fail. No compromise, no retreat, no surrender. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at March 27, 2018 7:50 PM MDT

Fortunately, most of us aren't---that's why only the minority elected Trump.

  • You can be forgiven, I suppose, for your attempt to steal my thunder on this issue. It wouldn't make any difference in the outcome if all 23 stayed and chose to run again. What I find a little alarming about my prediction, (and now yours) is that recent polling shows only a six point Democrat edge. That's only a slight edge after you factor in the possible plus or minus percentage of error. Much can happen and shifts in polling data can be volatile. Some polling data is best ignored for all it's worth. The gap should be wider at this point in time if this is going to be a "tsunami".
