    I intend to start putting out more questions

    because I've realised it makes a big difference to the choices available for different kinds of conversations.

    The gamble part in this context is fine.

    So far, I've found I've enjoyed all the responses,

    including those I don't agree with.

    You have to NEED to ask the questions hartfire. That makes it always valuable/worthwhile. If you don't NEED to ask them then whatever replies you get will delight or hurt. I am beyond either. I ask the questions I do  because I have no choice. Most of the time they work out just fine with or without my participation. I like that of course. But I don't NEED it. As long as your need to ask outweighs any other consideration you will do well. Thank you for your reply! :)
