I once had my horoscope done as part of a research project. I never met with anyone or even talked to anyone. It was done solely by place, date and time of birth, with all contact through the mail. I believe it was done by a computer, rather than a person. It was very in depth, going through all the houses and giving an overview of me with some things I may encounter or deal with within my lifetime. It also gave a twelve month horoscope for participating.
I honestly cannot recall anything about the 12-month horoscope. What I do recall is that as I read through it, and it is quite lengthy and detailed, it pretty much pegged me spot on. There were, however, a few things that I laughed off. After reading it, I put it away and forgot about it. A few years later I ran across it and reread it. Some of those things I had laughed off had happened. Since then, I have always filed it away, and somewhere down the line, usually two to four years later, I happen across it and reread it and find that it is just as accurate over time as it was initially.
I have had other horoscopes done and had my palm read and whatnot...none of that was ever anything more than the scam one expects. The one I spoke of above, though, was so eerily accurate on some very specific things that it gives me pause as to whether there is any veracity to the concept or not. Certainly there are scammers out there, and yes, I do believe what it can tell us is exaggerated, but I do believe there is validity to the notion that how the universe was at the moment we were born might just play into who we are. After all, the moon can move oceans, can it not?
